Application Deadlines:

Applications are due November 30 for the Spring semester and due May 31 for the Fall semester. We have rolling admissions until those deadlines and late applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

Introduction to Ophthalmic Medical Assisting

Evening, Part Time: 6 months starting each January and July

Part-time:  lectures & workshop for training Ophthalmic Assistants. Optional Clinical-add on available for students new to the field.

A modular course is available for students who are already employed and who wish to increase their knowledge about ophthalmic assisting.

For students new to the field of ophthalmology, there are available optional clinical courses for an additional fee.

This program currently meets once a week, each Tuesday evening 5:30 to 9 pm. The Spring semester runs January through June and the Fall semester runs July through December. No college credit is awarded, this is a Certificate from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
